AIIFA organised an eventful day on 14th November 2025 in Delhi. Among the attendees were a team from NISST (National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology) along with the director at NIIST, Mr Parmjeet Singh, a delegation from the Ministry of Steel and numerous entrepreneurs from the secondary steel sector. The day started with a plant visit to Amba Shakti Group plant in Sikandrabad (UP), followed by an evening session at Shangri-La, where industry stakeholders and entrepreneurs discussed sector challenges and created a roadmap with the Joint Secretary, Shri V. K. Tripathi, from the Ministry of Steel. There were also technical in-depth discussions about producing high-quality green, sustainable steel.
This engagement reinforced the importance of regular dialogue between the industry and the government. Such platforms help identify real challenges, encourage collaborative problem-solving, and strengthen the foundation of India’s secondary steel sector in a meaningful and practical way.
